ABOUT

I'm a dancer and a writer, a choreographer, an arts administrator, and an occasional bookstore girl.

Sometimes I draw.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was trained in classical ballet and worked as a professional ballet dancer before the discovery of different breeds and flavors of movement landed me in the hazy territory of "contemporary" dance. I dance for Liss Fain Dance in San Francisco. My sister, the ever splendid Shannon, and I co-founded a dance company in 2011. It's called Sharp & Fine. I am in love with the projects we work on and the people we work with.

I attended the Clarion Writers' Workshop at UCSD in 2008. It quite literally changed my life. I have had fiction and poetry published in Sybil's Garage, Strange Horizons, and Electric Velocipede. People have told me that my stories are "weird," "beautiful," and "horrifyingly sad."

One day, I hope to achieve "funny."
